Goose Creek. It’s small. No skyscrapers. No sidewalks. No MARTA. Nothing really. Just grass. Trees. Lizards. Ants. Hot. Humid. Rain. Geese. Yup. Goose Creek. I hate it. First day I came here, it was gloomy and wet. There’s nothing to do. Nowhere to go. No concerts. No Northpoint Mall. There’s Northwoods Mall. It’s about a third of the size of Northpoint. Can’t walk anywhere. Driving is essential. I miss walking. Walking was part of the adventure. Without walking, I feel like I didn’t actually go anywhere. This is not the suburbs. It feels like the country sometimes. It smells like the Chattahoochee River almost everyday. Natural beauty? Sure… when you go to the lakes and parks in Crowfield. The actual town? It ain’t such a beauty.
