Goose Creek. It’s small. No skyscrapers. No sidewalks. No MARTA. Nothing really. Just grass. Trees. Lizards. Ants. Hot. Humid. Rain. Geese. Yup. Goose Creek. I hate it. First day I came here, it was gloomy and wet. There’s nothing to do. Nowhere to go. No concerts. No Northpoint Mall. There’s Northwoods Mall. It’s about a third of the size of Northpoint. Can’t walk anywhere. Driving is essential. I miss walking. Walking was part of the adventure. Without walking, I feel like I didn’t actually go anywhere. This is not the suburbs. It feels like the country sometimes. It smells like the Chattahoochee River almost everyday. Natural beauty? Sure… when you go to the lakes and parks in Crowfield. The actual town? It ain’t such a beauty.

Atlanta. Hotlanta. A-town. ATL. Whatever you want to call it. I call it home. I love Atlanta. Everything about it. It’s beautiful. Breathtaking. Amazing. The lights. The colors. Even the graffiti. It has everything I ever wanted and everything I ever needed. I miss it so much. The people. The places. The sights. MARTA. Everything. I can’t believe that I never went anywhere. So many places I could have gone. So many things I could have seen. Northpoint Mall was my favorite place hands down. My first concert was in the parking lot. Journey’s Backyard BBQ Tour. So many things happened to me in Atlanta. So many memories. So many lessons learned. People I met. I could go on forever describing its wonderful qualities. It might not be as glamourous as New York, but I think it comes pretty close.
